Everyone needs some snacks to get them through the day until the big Thanksgiving meal! Let this Turkey Day Trail Mix be an easy recipe to throw together to keep hunger at bay until dinner is ready!
If you follow my blog regularly, you’ll know I’m a snack lover. I have a hard time eating three square meals each day. Emily and I both need an assortment of snacks between meals to get us through the day.
This poses an issue on a day like Thanksgiving. My husband just about fasts the entire day until the big meal. But me?? No can do, I need to eat! This Turkey Day Trail mix is a fun recipe to make for you and/or your guests who might feel the same way.
It’s super easy to throw together, because let’s face it, no one needs one more recipe to make on a day like Thanksgiving. It would even be easy for someone, say like my sister who is usually in charge of drinks to make! What do you think, Allison?
The ingredients are staples at most grocery stores. If you have trouble finding the pumpkin flavored yogurt pretzels, you could always substitute vanilla or white chocolate flavored ones and I’m sure no one would mind! It would even be a great snack mix to throw in say, some left over candy corn, if you have any lying around.
Snack mixes like this are great because you can just add in whatever you want. There are no rules or master chefs needed here. Just toss in what you have or see at the store and you’re good to go! Easy-peasy, as I like to say 🙂
If you need a snack to set out for the troops while Thanksgiving dinner is being prepared, this would be a quick and easy idea that everyone would love!
