There are so many reasons to love Goldfish Swim School, but today I’m going to highlight my top 5!
Emily’s been taking swim lessons at Goldfish Swim School since March. It’s honestly amazing to see how much progress she’s made in such little time. While I know she loves her swim lessons, I actually really love them too! Today I thought I’d share my top 5 reasons why!
1 – The Instructors
This has to be one of my top reasons for loving Goldfish Swim School. The instructors are awesome and I’m sure if you’re children have taken lessons, you’d agree! I’ve never heard anything but positive comments from all of my friends who send their children there. If you read this earlier post, it’s evident how great they are! It’s not just with Emily either, I constantly see evidence of this each week with all of the children taking lessons!
2 – Focus on Water Safety
I love how even at 2 years old, Emily’s learning all about water safety. She’s learning different tactics to use should she ever fall into the water while unattended. Now, while I hope this never (ever!) happens, it makes this worrier mom feel better should an accident like this ever occur! I know the lessons are sticking too because I see her practicing them around the house (like hanging on her crib rail and moving her hands along the edges just like at her lessons) and especially at bath time!
3 – Flexibility
If you’re a parent, you know life gets hectic and we can’t always make it to all of our weekly commitments. Goldfish has a great make up policy if you have to cancel a lesson, which I love about them. Sometimes Emily has a doctors appointment or another commitment which doesn’t allow us to attend our weekly lesson and I’m ever so grateful they allow her to make it up when it’s more convenient for us to do so! This allows us to never let too much time pass before another lesson to work on all of our swimming skills!
4 – Fun Atmosphere
The moment you walk into Goldfish Swim School, you can tell it’s different. It has a warm and fun tropical environment with palm trees, tropical fish and turtles and beautiful sea murals inside the pool area. Did I mention they keep the pools heated to 90 degrees! How nice is that? They make it fun for kids to come to swim lessons and even mama has something fun to look at! I love watching those turtles each week 🙂
5 – Interaction with Other Children
Since I stay at home now, I’m always looking for ways for Emily to interact with other children her own age. I love that at 2 years old, Emily can take lessons on her own without me, which isn’t the case at a lot of other swim lessons in town. This allows Emily time to spend with a few other kids her own age, without mommy around. I love seeing her talk to the other kiddos and see how they react to each other. It’s so cute how she will even talk about them at home and says “hi!” once we get to class!
