Why buy pre-made, when you can make your own Homemade Taco Seasoning with only 5 easy ingredients!
Seems like everyone these days is making home-made this or that – cleaning supplies, hand lotions, cake mixes, right? I’m usually on this home-made bandwagon, but some things I’ve just always bought at the store and not put much thought into trying to make myself.
Taco seasoning is one of those things. It’s just a little to easy to pick up a little 89-cent mix at the store to keep in the pantry when the mood for Mexican strikes! However, this past week I decided to make tacos on a whim and didn’t have a handy store-bought taco seasoning packet! Oh no!
That’s when I remembered a post I saw a while back on Cooking Classy. She made a slight variation of this mix for quinoa, black bean and corn tacos. Even though I was planning to use ground meat for my tacos, I thought the flavor combination would still work and I was right, it did!
This will be my new go-to taco seasoning mix! Good bye pre-made store-bought mix with artificial ingredients, coloring and preservatives! This is so easy and much cheaper. I encourage you all to give it a try at your next Taco-Tuesday dinner!
