Forget store-bought veggie dip! This Greek Yogurt Ranch Dip only takes minutes to make and tastes so much better, not to mention healthier!
I originally made this dip for Emily’s first birthday party in March. It went over so well, I’ve made it a few more times since! I’ve been searching for a good veggie dip, just like this one, for a long time and I’m so happy I finally found a keeper!
Since summer has finally arrived, this dip is a great addition to all of your upcoming parties and get togethers. When I have people over I like to have at least a few options for those watching their diets. This is one of those great recipes for that because if you’re watching what you eat, you can just enjoy a little of this on the side without feeling too guilty! Everything in moderation, right? I figure if this dip gets someone to eat a few more veggies than they normally would, it’s a win all the way around!
The original recipe called for a lot more mayonnaise and while I do like my mayo… I couldn’t justify using so much when I could up the health factor and reduce the calories (and fat!) by using Greek yogurt. Simply combine the mayo and Greek yogurt with some herbs and spices and voila! you have a super yummy dip to serve with some fresh veggies! Not only does swapping out some of the mayo lower the calories and fat, but I also feel a lot better about indulging because I know exactly what went into it. Next time you’re at the store, look at the low fat veggie dips and you’ll be surprised at the long list of ingredients, many of which you can’t pronounce – scary! Let’s raise a carrot stick and cheers to a recipe with real ingredients! Who’s with me?
So, the next time you’re in need of a good dip to serve with some veggies, why don’t you give this one a whirl? You’re friends, family and waistline will thank you!
