March is finally here and with St. Patrick’s Day on the horizon, what better way to celebrate than with some fun green food ideas!
I love how the start of March also signals the start of green everything, don’t you?
Here in Ohio the start of March not only means St. Patrick’s Day (aka green EVERYTHING) is just a few weeks away, but things outdoors finally start to come alive! Tulips are starting to pop up through the recently frozen ground and just the other day I saw a few green buds coming through on one of our bushes.
Although this winter was extremely mild, I’m always happy to welcome the start of spring! Seeing green outdoors, also makes me think about bringing some of that green indoors to meal time! As a mom, I can’t help but love that green foods also usually means healthy!
I know many children unfortunately turn their nose up at green foods. Luckily Emily is still a little too young (IMO) to do this. She loves green foods, especially broccoli, green peppers and avocado! However, in case your child is not a fan of them, like Emily, I’ve come up with a bunch of fun green food ideas over at the Columbus Moms Blog!
Hopefully you can find at least one or two ideas to try with your children and maybe (just maybe!) help them enjoy green foods a little more 🙂
