Nutty Cocoa Truffles
Serves: about 1 dozen truffles
These Nutty Cocoa Truffles are a quick, easy and tasty way to keep my "real food" diet on track, while still satisfying my sweet tooth!
  • ½ cup raw almonds
  • ½ cup walnut halves/pieces
  • ¾ cup dates (pitted)
  • 1 Tbs. dark cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbs. honey
  • 2 tsp. water
  1. Put the nuts in a food processor and pulse a few times until broken into smaller bits.
  2. Add in the dates, cocoa powder and honey. Process until combined. Add in the water until the mixture comes together and can be formed into balls. If it still does stick together well enough after 2 teaspoons, add in another teaspoon.
  3. Form mixture into truffles, about 1 tablespoon in size. Store in a tupperware container in the refrigerator.
