Cranberry Sauce
Serves: 3 cups
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag fresh cranberries, washed and picked over
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  1. Place cranberries, water and sugar in a medium sauce pan over medium to medium-high heat. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally and smashing the berries as they burst. During the last two minutes, add the blueberries and continue to cook and mash.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in cinnamon and nutmeg, cool. Pour into serving dish. Cover and chill if not serving right away, covered with plastic wrap.
